Urban log home with all conveniences
Honka Rock is located in a densely populated urban area and designed for promoting good life, quality living and environmental friendliness. The house is constructed with the innovative non-settling Honka Fusion log, which gives the architecture a polished, urban look and the possibility to incorporate other materials into a log house.
We chose Honka primarily based on our discussions with the architect and project management team from Honka. The reliability of operation as well as Honka’s professional know-how played an important part in the project.
The sauna section with its family room is entirely built from stone blocks. The sauna wing is directly attached to the two-story log house. The two-story part of the building houses living room, kitchen and maintenance rooms and the bedrooms upstairs.
The spaces fit our family’s needs exceptionally well: our everyday life, work, and even parties. The heating and ventilation systems work well. It’s easy to breathe in this house and we sleep well.
The interior decoration is simple and modern, but includes playful details and colour spots. The large windows allow the surrounding nature to enter the home.
