Villa Ankkuri
A bespoke home for an active family
This two-storey log home is unique inside and out. The interesting layout provides plenty of private space to suit the needs of the active entreprenurial family. The number of corners in the two-story building is an incredible 17, and it also has a unique scenic tower to boot.
This interesting building with many intriguing details is designed according to the wishes of the inhabitants. They enjoy spending time in nature and wanted an ecological, healthy and durable log home that will serve as the focal point of the family long into the future.
The house has four entrances to suit the needs of an active family of dog owners. With eight rooms in total, there is privacy for all of the family members. Downstairs, the large living room and open plan kitchen, with a dining set and terrace, bring the family together.
The heart of this home is the double-height living room with expansive windows providing an ever-changing view of the surrounding nature. Natural wood plays a central role in both the house itself and the interior decoration. Villa Ankkuri makes room for relaxed living and pleasant togetherness.
Villa Ankkuri is a truly vivid and impressive building. The house includes numerous details and as many as seventeen corners, which made furnishing the home a bit more challenging than usual. The key role is justifiably played by the natural material that is used throughout the building – Finnish wood. The overall impression of the home is light, roomy and fresh.
Boating, the family's shared hobby, is prominently visible in the hobby and exercise room, which is directly linked to the sauna facilities and the outdoor terrace. The home has versatile spaces for different needs: room for hobbies, office for the family company, a room for each family member and spaces for spending quality time with family and guests. The family's wish was that their new home would have enough room even for extended guest stays.
