Haus Ivalo
Living in harmony with nature
Haus Ivalo is an impressive holiday lodge surrounded by mountain meadows of the Hartz national park in Sankt Andreasberg, Germany. This two-storey house with traditional log cabin charm was built to offer cozy stays for skiers and hikers in harmony with nature.
A holiday trip to northern Finland made the customer family fall in love with log homes. In memory of their magnificent holidays in Northern Finland, the owner family named the house after a Finnish city Ivalo.
The house was designed and equipped to match the needs of the up-market rental segment. During planning and construction of the house, great emphasis was placed on using only ecological materials. Honka's designers planned the house according to customer's whishes and the authorised Honka representative in Westerwald took care of the building project.
The 210 square foot home on a 1,800-square-meter large plot offers plenty of space for quiet holidays and peaceful relaxation. The ground floor houses spacious living room with dining area. Large, open kitchen is equipped with all comforts. Utility room, a guest bathroom and storage space for ski equipment and a winter garden are also located on the ground floor. On the 1st floor, there are 3 bedrooms with three double beds, 2 bathrooms, a sauna and a lounge area.
