Public Swimming Pool
Escape from the everyday
This is Germany’s and Europe’s first ever swimming school in an entirely wooden log house. Escape from the everyday and dive into the water in a building that reminds the warmth feel of log cabins on vacation.
Opened in April 2011 the building is designed for swimming courses. Swimming lessons and aqua fitness are offered for babies from 3 months and water aerobics for adults and seniors.
The heart of the wooden house is a 108 m² large pool with a depth of 1.35 m and a water temperature of 32°C. There is a large reception and lounge area, spacious changing rooms with changing tables for the little ones, enough lockers in extra size, so that sports bags fit comfortably and free parking directly outside the building. The “swimming school in a log house” welcomes everyone with its personal touch.
Wood - everything combined skillfully with pivot joints, no nails. The beam ends are a special jewelry, a show case, where six logs are connected and tell the age of the trees from which they originated. A wide staircase leads to comfortable turquoise water, which is wonderfully warm.
