Honkarakenne Plc presents Woodism, a new, modern design concept in wood construction that celebrates ambitious architecture, ingenious use of timber and holistic, healthy living experience.
Inspired by the timeless elegance of Mid-Century Modern and the powerful expression of Brutalism, Woodism features solid wood in an increasingly diverse range of forms in the interiors and exteriors — complemented by Honka’s new grand design house collection. At the heart of Woodism lies Honka’s signature engineered CLT log technology, now combined with a suite of refined product innovations: atmospheric pergola and slatted structures, elegant door and window elements, harmonious interior panels and an array of distinctive roof forms.
Woodism showcases Finnish premium solid wood in all its splendour. It represents Honka’s contemporary interpretation of CLT log architecture, where architectural precision meets a deep connection with nature. Alongside glass, concrete and steel, natural wood is allowed to shine, creating a spatial experience in which indoor and outdoor spaces are in seamless dialogue with the surrounding nature.
Versatile design solutions, re‑imagined structures and high adaptability allow each home to be tailored to its residents’ lifestyle. Honka delivers homes in the scope the customer desires: even fully bespoke homes can be completed with turnkey completion through local partner network.
Spectacular use of wood in the new Woodism collection
As part of the launch, Honka is introducing the comprehensive Woodism collection, which includes several designs for single-family and second homes. Woodism’s international grand design collection was designed by Honka’s architectural team. The series includes spectacular house designs in which fascinating and innovative shapes, such as rounded interior walls and curved roofs, are used. The new design of this style trend stands out from the typical house architecture of today. Flexible floor plans allow views and terraces to be in the plot’s best directions.
“Our collection for the international market offers spectacular options for those interested in sculptural wood architecture. All the designs are united by their eye-catching details, luxury living and elegant vertical slatted structures in both indoor and outdoor spaces,” says SAFA Architect Anne Mäkinen, who led the design of Honka’s international grand design collection.
The original idea behind Woodism was created by Honka designer Olavi Kujanen. In addition to the grand-design series, Honka is also launching a Scandinavian, mid-sized luxury collection, which Kujanen has developed together with the Honka team.
Unique interior and exterior solutions for healthy homes
Honka’s Product Manager Saija Ojala has created a curated interior concept for Woodism, featuring high‑quality selections throughout. Well-considered wood surfaces, perfectly matching tones and premium door and window solutions define both interior and exterior spaces.
