Designer Harri Koskinen’s style is elegant, streamlined and finished. His new Honka Kontti cabin and sauna collection, that he designed for Honkarakenne, also follow the same style. Compact and modern buildings fit superbly to holiday resorts and for extra lodging space because they guarantee, in addition to upscale vacation, a fair amount of privacy with their covered terraces.
With the help of Honka Konttis you’ll create and elegant holiday resort, where world-class design meets Finland’s magnificent nature.
Place numerous log cabins into same property easily
Honka Kontti requires only a small space and it’s easy to build. Many cabins are easily placed on the same property as they are especially compact. As real wonders of space, they contain everything that is needed but not too much.
The need for privacy has been considered nicely in the design, and on the same time, there has been created the possibility for the residents to enjoy extensive views – a combination that is often difficult to accomplish. The terrace’s ailerons and pentice protect the large windows from sides while serving sight cover and privacy even though the houses could stand right next to each other.
It is also possible to move Kontti cabins if it’s later wanted. The cabins come in two different sizes. The sauna building is also of the same series. Depending on the surrounding scenery and existing buildings the houses can be realised with a pent roof or a gable roof. From Honka Konttis you’ll create totalities that fit well into scenery just like the designer has planned.
By combining different sized Konttis you’ll be able to create functional and pleasant holiday resort which grows when needed smoothly Kontti by Kontti.
Create a holiday resort that attracts also during winter time
You can build Kontti cabins for year-round use – warm and with modern conveniences. For foreign tourists, Finnish winter is wondrous and magical. The atmosphere generated by mystical light and dazzling snow is conveyed to inside of Konttis. By choosing skylight cabins you can also provide an exciting form of accommodation also for travellers that are excited about northern lights or want to fall asleep under the stars.
When visitors love the summer, why can’t they fall in love with winter as well?

There is nothing unnecessary or excessive in these cabins: the surrounding nature is in the main role
Designer Harri Koskinen
Koskinen knows log-building well as he built log houses already in his youth. Koskinen, from Karstula which is near Honkarakenne’s house factory, has himself a warm relationship with wood. So, it was natural to combine design knowhow and log house planning. An elegant and modern Kontti collection was born, which has everything and nothing wasted. Compact houses where the details have been carefully thought out. Comfort, practicality and the surrounding nature have been taken into consideration. It is easy to breathe and experience of being part of the scenery in these ecological houses.
The idea for Honka Kontti collection is drawn from the world of shipping containers. The compact cabins have everything that is needed on holiday, even though the cabins in question are relatively small. There is a bed room with big windows and an open kitchen, WC and shower. In addition, a covered terrace.
