Honka’s log construction has been granted ISO certificates
Press release 1.2.2016
Honka, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of log frame wood houses, has been granted the international Quality Certificate ISO 9001 and Environmental Certificate ISO 14001.
A pioneer in the industry, Honka was the first log house manufacturer in Finland to set internal ISO standards for log construction. Erja Heiskanen, Vice President of Honka, says: “We are proud to receive this recognition of the hard work to which we have been committed for many years. Our company-wide R&D is based on Honka’s values of furthering healthy and safe living.”
Honka is widely recognised as a provider of high-quality log houses and Heiskanen believes that the company’s customers highly value its commitment to international, ISO quality standards. As a pioneer in the industry, Honka was also the first log house manufacturer in Europe to be granted authorisation to use the CE mark on its products.
“When setting our ISO standards, we began by devising a full set of processes for the company and then set goals and performance indicators for each of them. As a result, we have included the continuous improvement of services and products in our daily work. We are proud that our customers can trust in Honka home packages meeting the highest standards in terms of safety, health and Finnish high-quality products.”
