Ksenia Sobchak, russian public figure, television and radio host, actress, producer of the russian TV channel Super, took part in the Topping-out Ceremony of the house that Honka is building for her. The ceremony is an old Finnish tradition marking the moment when the construction of the house reaches its highest point – the ridge – and the main supporting structure of the roof is completed. A traditional fir is then installed on the roof.
During the ceremony, Honka and Ksenia Sobchak served a buffet in Finnish style right in the heart of the construction site: pea soup, carrot casserole, salmon, potato cakes, meat with lingonberry sauce and, of course, warming and fragrant mulled wine. This was just to say thank you to all the people who have taken part in the construction of the house: builders, architects and Honka engineers. Working together, they have created this unique building from non-settling logs using zero-corner technology and a combination of timber and frame. As a result Ksenia’s house will be an ideal modern wooden house, the interior of which can be started immediately after completion of construction, without waiting for shrinkage.
