We have added four classic log homes to our collection, with timeless design and efficient floor plans that meet modern preferences. The architecture of these classic detached houses, which are made from select natural materials, matches the variable Nordic scenery and withstands changeable conditions decade after decade. It is our pleasure to present our new, classic designs for this autumn: Honka Vilja and Honka Pilvi, and the revamped Honka Kunnas.
Beauty goes hand in hand with practicality
We designed this autumn’s new home models based on customers’ wishes. Experts from all parts of our organisation participated in their development. The houses’ architecture is a response to the signals we detect around us – the growing desire for natural and familiar, safe surroundings, partly in reaction to the global crisis. We wanted to make our detached house collection as accessible as possible, with dream log homes for rural farmland settings, idyllic shoreline plots, deep forests and densely built urban areas.
The new models feature beautiful proportions in addition to cost-efficient floor plans. This creates a harmonious view in both directions – from inside out and outside in. We have also invested in timelessly beautiful architecture.
– Anne Mäkinen, Head Architect at Honkarakenne
The home models feature many familiar details that have been favourites year after year. All models have the desired gable roof, bright windows framing breathtaking natural scenery, and spacious lounges to relax in.
Honka Vilja
A classic from the beginning
Honka Vilja is a symbiosis of classic and modern style – the house blends in with a range of scenery. Its clean lines are complemented by beautiful glazing bar windows. All Vilja floor plans are highly practical and cost-efficient to build.
I am delighted with this model, in which each square metre is in just the right place. In addition, this log home can easily be altered to a smaller or larger version.
Honka Pilvi
This dream log home is cosily irresistible
Honka Pilvi is a harmonious but impressive log house with a high window profile. Its design combines many of our customers’ favourite solutions. The floor plan has been made as practical as possible, and a one and a half-storey version is available.
The traditional end window is a kind of staple in the architecture of log homes – integrating the natural setting with everyday residence.
Honka Kunnas
The popular log ‘mansion’ is given a new look
We refreshed the expressively ornate Honka Kunnas house based on customer wishes. That is why, we created a one-and-a-half and one-storey versions to make this popular model available to as many people as possible.
We want to pay an elegant and functional tribute to the traditions of log house construction.
Enjoy the Nature of happiness
We Finns appreciate tradition and classic timelessness from one decade to the next – peaceful moments spent gazing into a log fire, out hunting, enjoying a sauna or swimming out in the wild. Nordic traditions are steeped in nature worship, and it’s great to see nature gaining ground in our residential preferences.
This year’s new model homes provide residential solutions for happy, natural settings.
